How To Measure Your Bra Size

You could be surprised if you knew how many women don’t use the correct size of bra. Most of them go to a department store and pick out a bra that fits but doesn’t flatter their cup size or body shape. Remember, this could also be a huge factor on how clothes look and using the incorrect underwear could ruin your whole outfit. Here we will show you step by step how to know your correct size.
There are many factors you need to consider while picking out the perfect bra and having your right measurements is a huge one. When selecting your everyday bra you will want to have the right support and right coverage which can be easily altered if you pick the wrong size. To do this you'll need a measuring tape and a piece of paper. We recommend wearing a lightly-lined bra while doing this to get the measurements as precisely as possible.
First, you will want to start with your band measurement. This is the part under your bust where the band of your bra will normally sit. You will not want to place the measuring tape too tight or too loose because this will give you the incorrect measurements. Write the measurement in a piece of paper so you don’t forget. Now you will want to measure the fullest part of your bust. This area usually is closest to your nipple or right on top of it. Again, you will not want to place the measuring tape too tight since this could also alter your cup size. Once you have those two measurements, you will want to subtract the band measurement (first one) from your bust measurement (second one). The number you get will equal your cup size. For example, if the difference between your band size and your cup size is 1, your cup size will be an A. If the difference equals 2, your cup size will be B and so on. It is important to emphasize that if the difference is 0 then your cup size will be a size AA. We recommend doing this every 6 months since your body is continually changing and your measurements could vary.
We have included a table below where you can see the size according to the difference number.
Remember having that perfect bra will make you feel comfortable and secure, and here on Friday Intimates you will find it.
