Tips: For A Summer Body

Summer is here and we all want to get in shape. Some may think doing exercise is the only solution to getting that summer body but that is not true. There are a lot of factors that contribute to getting in shape and being healthy. People usually don’t get that even if you exercise everyday, if you don’t keep a balanced diet your body will not react as you want. Both of these things should go hand in hand. Here are some tips for you to achieve that summer body.

1. Eating Healthy:

One of the greatest factors to being healthy and having that summer body is eating healthy. This doesn’t mean you should diet all your life, but to create a healthy lifestyle with balanced foods that include all of the best nutrients. This includes doing at least 6 meals a day, drinking plenty of water, including vegetables and proteins in your diet, cutting down on junk food, eliminating sodas and sugary beverages, among other things. Once you create a habit and find healthy foods you love, it will not feel like a diet but as a healthy lifestyle.

2. Exercise:

Yes, exercise is important but it goes in combination with healthy eating. It doesn't matter if you only do 30 mins of walking, jogging or dancing. Moving your body will keep you not only in shape but also will keep you healthy from the inside. Try not to be sedentary, if you are all day working on a computer, remember to stand up and move around at least every hour. We know this is complicated but being seated all day is not only not healthy for you but for your muscles. Something that may help is having a reminder on your phone or Apple Watch, which this last one usually gives you one to stand up every other hour.

3. Drinking water:

This is one of the most important factors for having a healthy body. Especially to have that glow that comes from within. When you don’t drink enough water, your skin turns dull and that is not what we want for this summer. Hydration is the key. At least 8 cups of water a day. We know you can do it!

4. Sleeping:

This is so important for your body, your mind, your attitude, everything. Not only to recharge but it will help you with your image. Some may think this is not true but think about it. When you don’t sleep well, you usually wake up with under eye bags and the same goes to your body. You will feel heavier and will look heavier. Both of these are signs of not sleeping well and even if you don’t think about it, you portray it in your everyday life.
